Analytical Instrumentation Centre of Peking University(https://aic.pku.edu.cn/

The Analytical Instrumentation Centre at Peking University is one of the first institutions on campus to receive accreditation from the China Metrology Accreditation. The centre is affiliated with the College of Chemistry, with the Dean of the College serving as its director. Funding for the centre has been provided by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and from the World Bank.

Currently, the centre boasts approximately 1,600 square metres of laboratory space and 63 sets of large-scale advanced instruments. These include spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, chromatography, X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, laser confocal microscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance, elemental analysis, thermal analysis, and micro/nanofabrication. Major instruments include near-ambient pressure post-reaction X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, a 600 MHz NMR spectrometer, and Fourier transform high-resolution mass spectrometry.

The centre is supported by a robust technical team comprising 20 staff members, the majority of whom hold senior engineer titles and possess master's degrees or higher. Leveraging information technology, the centre operates a smart booking system and is accessible 24/7 and the centre conducts more than 100,000 experiments each year.

Additionally, the centre participates in the Beijing Regional Cooperation Network and the Capital Science and Technology Platform, primarily aiming to assist client laboratories with the analysis of inorganic and organic samples. This includes component analysis, structure determination, surface analysis, thermal analysis, and micro/nanofabrication, thereby providing robust support for research in Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, Materials Engineering, Life Sciences, Medical Studies, and interdisciplinary fields.
