The College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering (CCME) at Peking University is a robust academic hub, consisting of five academic departments and five research institutes, and is home to two state key laboratories and two Ministry of Education (MOE) key laboratories. In 2003, CCME joined forces with the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, to establish the "Beijing National Laboratory for Molecular Sciences," which was officially inaugurated in December 2007.

CCME boasts a distinguished faculty and staff of over 200 members, including 76 research groups, 10 Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 69 full professors, and 52 associate professors. The college maintains extensive connections and exchange programs with international academic and educational institutions.

Recognized by the MOE as one of the "National Pools for Talents in Basic Scientific Research and Education," CCME offers exceptional teaching and training activities for undergraduate students. Our laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art instruments and facilities, providing comprehensive and high-quality experimental training for basic chemical education and research.

In recent years, CCME has secured a substantial amount of funding annually from external sources and has garnered several research and education awards from the state and various ministries. With over 700 SCI-cited papers published annually, CCME has played a pivotal role in the advancement of chemical education and research globally.
